We are currently seeking a Radiation Therapist to join our oncology department at Weiss Hospital in Chicago. We offer a friendly and supportive work environment with a small, close-knit team. Key Responsibilities: Administer radiation therapy to patients following the prescribed treatment plans and under the direction of the radiation oncologist. Utilize advanced technology and equipment to deliver accurate and precise radiation treatments. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during radiation therapy sessions. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and modify treatment plans as needed. Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation. Assist in educating patients and their families about radiation therapy procedures and expectations. Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development activities. Qualifications: Valid state licensure as a Radiation Therapist. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist, preferably in an oncology setting. Strong understanding of radiation therapy principles, techniques, and safety protocols. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
