Job Title: Lab Technician Job Description: The laboratory technician is responsible for a variety of tasks in the laboratory to support operations. Reporting to the laboratory manager, the laboratory technician will be involved in the daily maintenance and operation of the laboratory, maintaining a clean and organized area where assigned. Essential Duties: Glassware Washing. Maintenance of chemical waste streams and disposal procedures. Preparation of reagents and chemical solutions for use in the laboratory. Logging and management of samples. Document laboratory data using Good Documentation Practices. Other tasks as required. Must be motivated and able to work independently in a dynamic laboratory operation. Must be reliable and able to work independently. Must be proficient in use of MS Office Programs and have a good general understanding of IT systems. Previous laboratory work experience preferred but not required. Two years minimum educational or work experience in the Life Sciences preferred. Skills Required: Must be motivated and able to work independently in a dynamic laboratory operation.
