Duties and Responsibilities The duty is generally to install and remove drywall, sheetrock, and other building materials, to ensure the walls and ceilings are properly sealed and protected from the elements. The duty is very important because it is their job to make sure that the walls in a building are properly installed and sealed. A drywall installer must have a good understanding of drywall installation and how it works in order to properly complete their job. They must be able to identify any problems with the drywall installation and fix them as soon as possible. The duty is to make sure the framing is properly attached to the drywall and that no gaps or tears exist. If any gaps or tears are found, the installer is to repair the issue. Additionally, the installer is responsible for ensuring that no water leaks into the structure, and that the drywall is properly sealed against moisture. The duty is to install, repair, and maintain drywall in residential and commercial settings.
