Benhaven is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals in our Residential Services program. The Direct Support Professional will work with adults with developmental disabilities in a residential setting to provide assistance with daily living activities and support to help them live fulfilling lives. Northford :*Full-time: 30 hours: Saturday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 4:00pm-10:00pm*Part-time: 21.5 hours: Saturday 9:00am-4:00pm; Sunday 4:00pm-10:00pm & Wednesday 8:00am-4:30pm (this position is eligible for vacation)Responsibilities: Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting Assist individuals with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household chores Implement individualized support plans and goals under the direction of the Residential Services Coordinator Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times Encourage individuals to participate in social, recreational, and community activities Document daily progress and any incidents or concerns in individual files Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and staff members Attend trainings and meetings as required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Must be at least 18 years old Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred Ability to pass a criminal background check Valid CT driver's license Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Employee Incentives: Anthem Medical & Dental Insurance (after 60 days of Full-time employment) FSA, Dependent Care, Voluntary Life (available to Full-time employees) Life Insurance and Long Term Disability Employer Paid (available to Full-time employees) Accrued Sick, Vacation & Personal Days for Full-time employes Accrued Vacation for Part-time employees working 20+ scheduled hrs weekly 8 Holidays EAP (Employee Assistance Program) Employee Discounts (Tickets-At-Work, Verizon, Alliance college discounts, etc.) Employee Referral Program Mutual of America 403b & 401a If you are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, we encourage you to apply for the Direct Support Professional position in our Residential Services program.
