Job Description: Cashier - ServiceWe are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Cashier - Service. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to provide exceptional service to our customers. The primary responsibility of the Cashier - Service is to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service.Responsibilities:- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.- Scan and process customer purchases accurately and efficiently.- Handle cash transactions, ensuring that all money is accounted for and proper change is given.- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.- Assist with bagging and packaging customer purchases as needed.- Understand and promote store loyalty programs and promotions.- Answer customer inquiries and provide product information.- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.- Follow all cash handling procedures and security measures to minimize the risk of theft or error.- Participate in training and development programs to enhance job knowledge and skills.Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent.- Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Excellent math skills to handle cash transactions accurately.- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.- Strong attention to detail.- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.- Knowledge of basic computer functions.- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 25 pounds).- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.We offer competitive pay and benefits, including health insurance and employee discounts.
