Legal Secretary (Family Department) Location: Bridport, Dorset Salary: Min. GBP 22k + Excellent Benefits Full : Time / Part : Time, Monday : Friday The client: Our client, a well: established law firm with a presence in multiple county locations, upholds a professional, inclusive, and supportive ethos, fostering a friendly and welcoming workplace. The role: As a Legal Secretary, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Family Law and managing confidential document creation via audio transcription while organising appointments and meetings for fee earners. Responsibilities: Serve as the primary contact between clients and the legal team through phone, in: person, and written correspondence. Manage the creation of confidential correspondence and documents. Generate necessary documentation and correspondence through audio transcription. Maintain diaries for fee earners, schedule appointments, and organise both internal and external meetings. Requirements: Previously worked for 3 years as a Legal Secretary, Legal Administrator, Legal Assistant, Legal clerk, or in a similar role. A minimum of 2 years of audio transcription experience. Ideally, have prior experience in Family Law. Skilled in Microsoft Office, complemented by strong computer, phone, and communication skills. Strong proofreading skills to ensure consistency and accuracy. Maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
