We are a privately-owned Canadian Corporation providing recycling and disposal services to Industrial, Commercial and Institutional customers. We are hiring for the following Full-Time, permanent position. Position: WASTE COMPACTOR FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN / MILLWRIGHT Job Description, duties and Responsibility Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial waste compactor disposal equipment and electronic/hydraulic Systems Perform diagnostic checks, maintenance and repairs to balers and compactors Perform preventive maintenance on balers and compactors Dependable mechanically inclined service tech with hydraulic and electrical knowledge to repair/troubleshoot waste and recycling equipment on the road and in shop Visit customer sites for service calls and upgrades Perform all tasks necessary to complete the installation of equipment and software during upgrades Comply with all Disposals Health and Safety policies and procedures Report on work orders and other assigned tasks daily Repair and install electrical motors, hydraulic pumps, and replace cylinders Able to understand drawings, manuals, schematics as directed Work with photo-eyes, e-stop button assembly and limit switches Must be available for on-call shifts every 4th weekend Must be experienced in MIG & ARC Welding & flame cutting with torch Must Supply own hand tools Qualifications Millwright License is a must with minimum 2 years experience Must have a valid Ontario Drivers License (DZ License preferred) Ability to read drawings, schematics, blue prints and manuals Hydraulics: 2 years (Preferred) Advanced industrial mechanical experience including hydraulics Ability to work without supervision to complete assigned work PLC and smart relay experience preferred Ability to rig and load equipment Some conveyor belt and auger experience preferred Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal Benefits/Compensation Salary range $ 28 - $32/hr dependent on experience Overtime after 44hrs with average work.
