Are you a dynamic Youth Yoga Instructor looking for an opportunity to be part of the Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center (LTYC) team in Capitol Heights, MD? Join us and help shape the young minds of tomorrow through the transformative practice of yoga. Your mission will be to cultivate a supportive and all-encompassing space where kids can enhance their mindfulness, physical strength, and self-assurance. We provide a competitive hourly wage of $22-25 and a nurturing community committed to nurturing the well-being and development of our youth. If you are enthusiastic about yoga and driven to create a meaningful influence on the next generation, come be a part of LTYC. Responsibilities:• Develop age-appropriate and engaging yoga lesson plans for children and teenagers.• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes mindfulness and physical well-being.• Demonstrate proper yoga techniques and provide individualized feedback to students to support their growth and development.• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to coordinate special events and activities related to yoga programs.• Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and achievements. Qualifications:• 2+ years of experience in teaching yoga to children and teenagers• Certification in yoga instruction for youth.• Strong understanding of lesson planning for youth yoga classes• Excellent classroom management skills.• US work authorization.• Competencies: US Work Authorization, Lesson Planning, Classroom Management. Our arts education instruction includes dance, theater, music, visual arts, media arts, creative writing, STEAM, culinary arts, Yoga, martial arts, and gardening.
