Join the Exploring Team at Northern Star Scouting! Youth Career Exploration Coordinator PT Are you interested in supporting community programs that deliver career-focused opportunities to middle and high school youth? Northern Star Scouting seeks Program Coordinators to assist young people in Exploring Youth Career opportunities; work directly with students and worksite based, career education programs. You will provide support to Exploring posts and service team volunteers, while you strengthen the delivery of the Exploring program located in schools, businesses and governmental agencies. You will participate in multiple volunteer meetings and encourage continued interest in the Exploring program. You will monitor and follow up on projects; maintain assessments and contact schools to facilitate student career interest surveys. This is a part-time, nonexempt position starting at an hourly wage of $17.00. Your work schedule is variable and could include an occasional special evening activity. Most weeks consist of four days, and you will work up to 20 hours per week. Much of the work involves post and Exploring volunteers and may occur after traditional workday hours. Most work will be in-district, with limited in-office work at our Fort Snelling (St Paul) Leadership Center. Qualifications Must be age 21 or older High school diploma or equivalent is required Post-high school training or education preferred, Education Major a plus Must have organizational, administrative, and proven customer service skills Workforce development or volunteer experience in a teaching or leading capacity a plus Exploring experience as a youth or adult leader preferred, though not required Must maintain a valid driver's license and current motor vehicle insurance For more information, see www.explorenow.org Northern Star Scouting is an Equal Opportunity and Veteran Friendly Employer
