Prince George Native Friendship Centre " We are a dynamic and compassionate team facilitating individual, family, and community growth, well-being and mutual understanding through the " power of friendship" Come join our dynamic team as a: Youth Care Worker Full time & Casual (Dayshift/Weekends) Are you a strong and positive role model? Enjoy coordinating youth activities. You can establish rapport with vulnerable youth. You enjoy providing support and direction to youth. In these Youth & Community Services roles, the successful candidate will have: A willingness and ability to work with vulnerable Awareness of community services, resources, and Experience in working with Aboriginal groups/communities. Strong communication skills (oral and written) and ability to write reports. Provide conflict resolution support and crisis Provide daily living skills support and advocate for clients. Coordinate internal/external QUALIFICATION Minimum of 2-years post-secondary education in a related field (Social Services, First Nations Studies, Criminology, Psychology etc. ) and 1-2 years' experience working with youth; or a combination of education and experience.
