Position: X-Ray Technician Location: New York City Salary: $42.14 to $46.42 per hour Sign-On Bonus: $2,500 at hire, $5,000 at 6 months, and $2,500 at 1 year Shift: Monday through Friday, alternating 7-hour shifts (8 AM to 6 PM) Note: No sponsorship availableWe are seeking an X-Ray Technician to join a prominent medical center in New York City. This position involves operating x-ray equipment under general supervision to facilitate accurate patient diagnosis and assessment, adhering to established protocols. Key Responsibilities: Input patient history and relevant medical documentation into the practice management system. Ensure patient safety throughout all procedures. Maintain a sterile environment and comply with infection control protocols. Complete necessary documentation for effective patient care and billing. Perform radiographs and bone density studies as per clinical requisitions. Explain procedures to patients, ensuring they understand and feel comfortable throughout the process. Position patients safely for optimal diagnostic imaging and adjust fluoroscopic equipment as required. Manage inventory of supplies and equipment, including ordering as authorized and ensuring delivery accuracy; assist with cost control as needed. Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred: A minimum of 2 years of experience as an X-Ray Technician; experience in other radiology modalities may also be considered. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Graduate of an accredited radiography program. Strong understanding of radiographic technology and safety protocols. Licenses & Certifications: Active and unrestricted New York State License in Radiographic Technology (R). ARRT (R) Certification. BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
