Position details: The BDM Western North America will develop the sales of the company’s products and services within Western North America. This person will drive profitable growth in sales revenues through proactive deployment of innovative sales techniques, identifying clear objectives, impactful sales calls, and executing action plans to improve short- and long term sales, earnings, and business relationships. Initially, this is a 50% individual performing position, direct contact, hands-on role with subordinates to be added as business growth dictates. An additional 50% will be the management of a small team focused on sales and technical support. This team player will work very closely with the entire PBE Group Global Sales Team, engineering, and operations to drive positive change. Responsibilities/Duties: 1. Directly drive sales, marketing, and service efforts by engaging current customers with a focus on growing the business, developing new end markets. 2. Develop, recommend and implement sales and marketing tactics to include distributor training, trade shows and other customer communications that will drive revenue growth 3. Build, develop and maintain strategic relationships to cultivate prosperous new partnerships in diverse industries 4. Develop sales plans/ projections based on strategic plans, establish operational sales targets linked to plan, and monitor/ report performance 5. Establish new markets, increase customer base, new product offerings, and expand overall sales presence by identifying new opportunities and new technologies to add to the PBE portfolio 6. Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue 7. Collaborates with US and Canadian Sales to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines 8. Partner with internal purchasing, quoting and production staff to ensure the delivery of a quality product, on-time and on budget. 9. Establish a budget and work within the constraints to maximize customer interaction and support 10. Additional, more senior, responsibilities for the right applicant 11. Properly maintain records in the CRM Desired Education/Work Background: Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. 5 (5) years sales and/or sales management experience of tangible, industrially applied products. Familiarity with developing distribution channels and successful sales plans. Capabilities/Skills: - Self-motivated, dedicated individual with outstanding people skills · Successful applicants must have approx five years of new B2B tangible product sales with a proven ability of growth and goal attainment. · Expertise to travel 50%- Air Travel and auto. We have 2 central locations located in Charlotte, NC and North Tazewell, VA but living elsewhere outside of these 2 cities is permitted. · Strong technical aptitude and expertise to comprehend and lead technical discussions · Good written and spoken communication expertise; competent with Microsoft office suite · Familiarity with the use of CRM software Preferred: · Extensive, established network of distributors, potential partners and industry contacts in the mining and construction industry. · Background in sales and business development with an engineered product/systems focus. · Background with communications networks and safety/productivity systems in the mining, construction, and general industrial markets.
