Position : Welder Level 1/ 2/ 3 Location: Cameron Park, CA Status: Full Time Hours: Monday - Friday Our Compensation and Benefits show how much we value our team! $20.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience Welder Level 1: $20.00 - $23.00 Welder Level 2: $24.00 - $28.00 Welder Level 3: $29.00 - $35.00 Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with high company contribution Long Term Disability and Life Insurance Plans 401K plan with Company Match Generous Paid Vacation and Sick Time Paid Holidays General Description: Operate welding equipment and basic hand and power tools. Reads and completes the operations specified on the job travelers. Interprets blueprints and part specifications to select the correct material, tools, and fabrication processes. Sets up welding machines for welding a variety of materials. Should have a good working knowledge of inspection equipment and be capable of selecting the proper inspection tool to verify product conformity to specifications. Serves as a mentor to lower-level welders and assists with coordinating workflow for maximum efficiency. RESPONSIBILITIES: Proficient use of hand and power tools used to prepare parts for welding. Complete routine machine maintenance. Clean welding machines and work area to maintain safe working conditions. Inspects and measures machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications using standard measuring tools. Replace cutting tools and grinding tools as required to maintain part quality requirements. Deburr work pieces as required. Clean parts as required. Capable of reading and understanding blueprints, drawings, sketches, specifications, manuals or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece. Determine the sequence of operations and setup requirements to build work piece to specifications. Working knowledge of processes and needed parameters for the efficient welding of materials including proper welding machine configuration. Working knowledge of the welding characteristics of ferrous metals, (Steel, Stainless Steel, Titanium, Inconel, Hastalloy etc.) non-ferrous metals (Aluminum, Copper, Brass, etc). Capable of fabricating tooling and fixtures required to properly locate and hold parts during welding operations. QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: Welder Level 1: 1-2 years similar welding experience in a precision manufacturing environment General mechanical skills. Basic blue print skills including basic knowledge of AWS welding symbols. Knowledge of welding the following materials; Stainless Steel, Aluminum, low carbon steel, and high carbon steel. Knowledge of the following equipment: welders/ oxyfuel, forklift, and grinders. Proficient ability to work as a team Basic familiarity with the use of hand tools. High school diploma or GED Welder Level 2: Minimum of 5 Years welding experience using MIG, TIG, Ox/Acetelyne, and Short Arc (stick) techniques. Good math skills General mechanical skills. Basic familiarity with the use of hand tools. Excellent time management skills and ability to work as a team Basic blueprint skills including basic knowledge of AWS welding symbols. Knowledge of welding the following materials; Stainless Steel, Aluminum, low carbon steel, and high carbon steel. Knowledge of the following equipment: welders/ oxyfuel, forklift, and grinders. High school diploma or GED Welder Level 3: 10 Years welding experience using MIG, TIG, Ox/Acetylene, and Short Arc (stick) techniques. Specialized training in rigging and OXY Fuel. Good math skills including basic trigonometry. General mechanical skills. Excellent time management skills and ability to work as a team Extensive familiarity with the use of hand tools. Advanced blueprint skills including knowledge of GD&T tolerances. Advanced familiarity of all AWS welding symbols and their proper application. Knowledge of the following equipment: welders, drill press, blowtorch, press brake, and forklift. Knowledge of welding the following materials: Stainless Steel, Aluminum, low carbon steel, and high carbon steel.
