Status: Full Time, Permanent Location: Hybrid - Burlington The Volunteer Abroad Manager at IR Canada is entrusted with overseeing the organization's global volunteer program Inspire and contributing to other special projects. Collaborating with a dedicated team of volunteer abroad specialists, program administrators, and the Director of Special Programs, the Manager plays a pivotal role in conceptualizing, strategizing, and executing volunteer abroad initiatives across diverse regions worldwide. Following the conclusion of volunteer abroad programs, the Manager takes charge of facilitating post-trip engagement for the Inspire Alumni, while also spearheading the launch of community initiatives in their respective locations. This multifaceted role requires a dynamic individual with a passion for international development and a talent for cultivating meaningful community relationships. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with the team to design and plan volunteer abroad programs in various global regions. Work closely with volunteer abroad specialists, program administrators, and the Director of Special Programs to ensure smooth program execution. Manage the post-trip engagement of Inspire Alumni to maintain a strong connection with the organization. Lead the launch of community initiatives in locations where volunteer abroad programs have been completed. Build and maintain effective relationships with partner organizations, local communities, and other stakeholders. Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of volunteers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Ensure that all policies and processes related to the volunteer program are consistently upheld. Utilize data to backss and enhance the volunteer program, identifying new opportunities for engagement. Implement and enforce safety protocols and emergency response plans for volunteers.
