Job SummaryAs a Veterinary Technician and or assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting veterinariansin providing medical care to animals. Your responsibilities will include handling and caring foranimals, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring the well-being of pets under veterinarycare.DutiesAssist veterinarians during examinations and surgeriesPerform laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood countsAdminister medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarianPrepare animals and equipment for surgical proceduresMaintain accurate medical recordsEducate pet owners on animal care and treatment plans.Help maintain hospital facilities including cleaning cages, kennels, and exam roomsExperience or QualificationsCertification as a Veterinary Technician preferred but no requiredExperience in animal handling and restraintBasic knowledge of animal physiology and common medical conditionsBe able to lift 50 or more poundsStrong desire to learnAbility to communicate with clients and co workers
