VAT Accountant/Analyst at Luxfer Group Luxfer Group, a global leader in manufacturing high-performance materials, is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a VAT Accountant/Analyst to join our in-house tax team. This role is integral to supporting our Indirect Tax Manager with the VAT compliance obligations across our UK entities, leveraging tax technology solutions, and playing a key role in our finance operations. What You Will Do: VAT Accountant/Analyst VAT Compliance: Prepare monthly UK and European VAT returns by required deadlines, ensuring accuracy and compliance through clearly defined processes. Reporting: Handle monthly Intrastat and ESCL reporting for European VAT registrations, contributing to our robust tax reporting framework. Audit Support: Perform pre- and post-submission audit checks, and assist with both internal and external VAT audits, ensuring our processes stand up to scrutiny. Reconciliation and Record Keeping: Reconcile VAT balance sheet accounts and maintain comprehensive indirect tax records, underpinning the integrity of our financial data. Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with VAT stakeholders within the wider finance team and across the business, ensuring smooth and efficient tax operations. Continuous Improvement: Engage in initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency, driving forward our commitment to excellence in tax management. Project Support: Play a supportive role in VAT-related project implementations, helping to advance our tax strategies and solutions. What We Are Looking For: VAT Accountant/Analyst Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a multi-national or public accounting organisation. Qualifications: Part-qualified in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, with a keen interest in VAT and indirect tax. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
