Vacancy for LDL Technical Relationship & Project Manager at the British Library17 October 2021Location: Boston Spa or St PancrasSalary: BSP -45,000 and STP -48,750 paType: Fixed TermThis exciting role will be based at the British Library but will provide a service to all six UK Legal Deposit Libraries: The British Library The National Library of Wales The National Library of Scotland Trinity College Dublin Cambridge University Library The Bodleian LibrariesThe main purpose of this role is to translate technical requirements, inform technical projects, and build strong and open relationships between the technical departments of each of the Legal Deposit Libraries. The Legal Deposit Libraries Technical Relationship and Project Manager will also lead or project-manage specific legal deposit initiatives on behalf of all six Legal Deposit Libraries, be responsible for project budget and resource allocation, and coordinate and undertake research to facilitate activities related to Legal Deposit. The role will also require the holder to provide appropriate relationship management and technical communications to government and publisher stakeholders regarding all matters relating to Legal Deposit.The successful applicant will have experience working in an academic or research library as a qualified librarian or in a project management role, with an understanding of electronic publishing. Educated to degree level, the candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships at all organizational levels. They must demonstrate their ability to communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences, both in writing and verbally. Excellent planning and coordination skills, along with familiarity with project structures, are essential. The candidate should be able to work in a matrix environment and successfully manage potentially conflicting priorities and objectives among stakeholders. Additionally, the successful candidate will be analytical, capable of conducting research and analysis, and presenting findings in a report format. The candidate must be willing to travel to each Legal Deposit Library as required to build and maintain relationships. #J-18808-Ljbffr
