RDR is seeking Underground Utility Foreman to complete our Utility Repair and Maintenance Division Job Summary: The Foreman will report directly to their RDR supervisor. Job duties : Excavation near existing utilities. Communicate effectively with Project Superintendent and Project Managers Keep safety as a top priority with a focus on efficiency and production with job costs in mind. Align and position pipes/drainage structures to prepare them for installation in a trench or excavation. Check slopes for conformance to requirements. Handling excavated & backfill material. Excavate trenches to grade at required depths and proper slopes. Proper backfill techniques to keep pipe on grade as well as sustain the desired pipe circumference/shape to obtain compaction. Rig, lift, swing & set precast concrete structures on grade. Operate the machine in a safe and efficient manner around the work areas. Understands and watches/checks machine control, gauges, fluid levels & lubrication daily. The above description covers the general duties and responsibilities of the job. The description shall not, however, be construed as a complete of responsibilities. Qualifications: 3 years of excavator operation required. Minimum of 2 years’ experience as Foreman preferred. Excavation and large pipe installation for underground water utilities experience required. Previous experience in water main installation. ·Must be able to lift up-to 75lbs.
