Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist Location: Mattoon, IL Rate: $33.73 - $52.28/hour (eligible for shift differential) Shift Type: 12 HR Nights Shift Times: 5:30 PM - 6:00 AM (3 days per week, 36 hours total) Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 Job Overview: The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound exams and assisting in their interpretation. The technologist must be skilled in abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular ultrasound exams. No on-call is required, and shifts are available for days and evenings. Key Responsibilities: Perform general ultrasound exams, including abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, and breast imaging, as well as specialty procedures like biopsy and aspiration. Conduct vascular examinations, such as venous duplex, venous mapping, carotid duplex, and arterial Doppler. Assess patient history and symptoms in relation to the study being performed. Maintain and clean ultrasound equipment, ensuring it operates efficiently. Assist staff physicians as needed during exams. Follow established protocols and hospital policies for conducting procedures. Produce high-quality ultrasound images and provide assistance in their interpretation. Document ultrasound exams accurately and in a timely manner according to department policies. Train and supervise students to ensure competency. Serve as a liaison between the hospital and clinical training programs from various schools. Benefits: $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Competitive hourly rate with shift differentials Requirements: BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire. ARDMS certification required. Valid state license in Illinois.
