This full-time position is available in either the New York or Washington, DC office, offering a competitive compensation package and growth potential.Duties:Advise clients on the tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.Provide strategic guidance on private equity fund structures and transactions.Support clients with capital markets transactions and international tax matters.Conduct thorough tax research and analysis, offering solutions that align with client objectives.Collaborate with internal teams to deliver comprehensive tax planning and structuring advice.Maintain current knowledge of U.S. tax laws and international tax regulations.Draft legal documents, including memoranda and opinions, to support tax positions.Requirements:3+ years of experience in tax law, preferably with exposure to Big 4 tax practices.Strong background in mergers, acquisitions, private equity, and capital markets.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.LL.M. in Taxation preferred.Certifications:Admission to and good standing with the New York or Washington, DC Bar.Skills:Proficient in complex tax research and analysis.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.Effective team player with leadership potential.
