If you are a proactive individual with business tax preparation experience, exceptional communication skills, and an active, unrestricted credential (CPA/EA/Practicing Attorney), we want you to assist our customers as they navigate their taxes using Intuit TurboTax Business products. What you'll bring: Proven experience in business tax preparation, with at least 3 years of recent experience handling federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for a minimum of 20 clients/customers per season, utilizing commercial tax software. Must hold an active unrestricted credential: EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney. Preferred: Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns each tax year in a tax practice or retail setting for compensation. Bookkeeping experience, especially related to tax preparation, is strongly preferred. Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry clients is a plus. Possession of or capability to acquire any relevant state licenses, certifications, permits, or bonds. Must have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN). Commit to at least 20 hours/week (with minimum 4-hour shift increments) throughout tax season. Familiarity with Circular 230. Technologically proficient; solid understanding of computer operations and software. Strong customer service skills - able to engage professionally, warmly, and confidently through video and audio tools. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Critical thinking, problem-solving, research skills, and perseverance. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with little supervision. Must have (or be willing to obtain) a stable hardwired internet connection meeting Intuit Security criteria, alongside a quiet workspace. How you will lead: This is a virtual, customer-facing position; you will utilize our advanced video communications software (Smartlook) for customer interactions. Assist TurboTax Business clients with their tax returns or provide delegated tax return services through: Tax advice Comprehensive business return preparation and signature Product/software inquiries Tax calculations Filing tax extensions Deliver high-quality customer interactions that build trust, drawing from your deep empathy and extensive expertise in business tax preparation and accounting entries. Leverage government websites, professional resources, and team insights to provide accurate and user-friendly answers. Apply established practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot customer inquiries related to tax advice and return preparation. Document all customer interactions. Continuously work towards achieving company key performance metrics and goals. Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as required.
