The firm specializes in providing sophisticated estate planning solutions for high-net-worth clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven, detail-oriented attorney with 2–4 years of relevant experience to join a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about estate planning and tax compliance, with the ability to manage complex matters and provide exceptional client service.Location:New York, NYDuties:Document Drafting and Review: Prepare and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives, tailored to clients' wealth transfer and protection strategies.Tax Compliance: Assist with the preparation of Form 706 (Estate Tax Return) and Form 709 (Gift Tax Return) to ensure tax compliance and support strategic tax minimization.Probate and Trust Administration: Manage the probate administration process, including drafting petitions and accountings, while guiding clients through complex administration issues.Client Relations and Strategic Planning: Work directly with clients and their advisors to develop and implement advanced asset protection and wealth transfer planning strategies.Research and Analysis: Conduct legal research and provide analysis on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes, as well as trust and probate law.Requirements:2–4 years of experience in trusts and estates lawJD from an ABA-accredited law school, graduating in the top 20% of the classLLM in Taxation is preferredAdmission to the New York State Bar or eligibility to waive into the NY barStrong knowledge of estate and gift tax complianceFamiliarity with estate drafting software is preferredExcellent attention to detail and effective communication skillsA commitment to maintaining confidentiality and delivering exceptional client serviceEducation:Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law schoolLLM in Taxation (preferred)Certifications:Admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility to waive in)Skills:Strong legal research and writing skillsExpertise in estate and gift tax complianceProficiency in drafting estate planning documentsFamiliarity with estate planning softwareAbility to manage multiple cases simultaneouslyExceptional client service and communication skillsBenefits:Comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, and vision insurance)Paid time offOpportunities for career growth and professional developmentCollaborative and entrepreneurial work environment Representing a vast array of individuals and businesses, including banking institutions, start-up and middle-market companies, real estate developers, law firms, entertainment companies, artists, tech companies, product manufacturers and many more, this firm has the sophistication of a large law firm coupled with the personal attention and responsiveness of a small firm, all bundled in a cost-conscious, result-focused package.
