What you will do: SOS Auction is looking for enthusiastic, experienced commission based Traveling Sales Managers. They will develop an understanding of the items for auction and the industry knowledge required to confidently communicate product value with potential customers and partners. They are "road warriors" who have boundless energy and work tirelessly to build their territory and provide our clients with the best service. At SOS Auction we pride ourselves on trust, transparency, and credibility, and our Traveling Sales Managers deliver this to our customers every day. Job Overview : The Traveling Sales Manager is a full-time position. In this position, you will be responsible for quickly evaluating items, negotiating prices, and if needed, collect items directly from the clientele. For collected items, they are then assessed, cleaned, and listed for sale at auction. Secondary (at home) career paths include eCommerce, marketing, inventory, administration, IT, photography, sales, and customer service. Our team members often find passion in a particular field, so their home based work is directed toward their passion and strengths when not traveling to potential clients. Duties & Responsibilities: Travel to potential clients, negotiate listings for jewelry, diamonds, watches, sterling silver, gold, coins, currency, fine art, memorabilia, collectible firearms, autographs, real estate and other valuable items. Deliver excellent customer service to sponsors and customers while efficiently securing listings. Accurately identify and describe items for online auction sales. Follow company processes for listing policies and tracking office tasks. Perform miscellaneous office duties to support eCommerce, marketing, inventory, administration, IT, photography, sales, and customer service departments. Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow and build out new business in your territory. Service accounts in person and via phone, looking for incremental growth opportunities. Achieve or exceed established sales goals. Develop relationships with wholesale customers and the general public to leverage these relationships to maximize revenue opportunities. Be very familiar with the competition and how to sell against it. Assess customer’s inventory needs and offer solutions to increase their business with SOS Auction Educate customers on the breadth of what our product can offer them and the services that will be made available to them. Forecast and report incoming business activity on a monthly and annual basis. Ensure both customers and prospects have a detailed understanding of our products through a consultative selling approach. Ensure current customer satisfaction by responding quickly and accurately to problems, concerns or needs. Help proactively market the company to customers and convey the advantages of our product. Accountable and aware of the financial activity within your book of business. Adapt to changes in a book of business, customer contacts, and internal structure/role changes. What you will need: A minimum of 3 years experience, in pawn, buying and/or appraising jewelry or estate items, real estate etc. etc . Experience selling into wholesalers and consumers, auction knowledge is strongly preferred. Ability to be on the road every day, traveling to both existing and prospect dealerships/clients. Understanding of the retail/wholesale marketplace in an operational context to best position SOS Auction. Excellent relationship building skills both in-person and over the phone. Understanding of the importance of building internal and external networks to increase personal effectiveness. An upbeat and positive demeanor. Ability to be self-motivated and able to work independently. Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and assists others in doing so. Ability to travel for meetings, training, etc.. Compensation: This position is an uncapped commission based compensation plan. Please note that final compensation will be determined based upon the applicant's relevant experience, skillset, location, business needs, market demands, and other factors as permitted by law.
