You will also travel to other sites in the Midwest. Long term, this role would require relocation to St. Louis, MO. Job Details:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in our construction projects, from concept to completion. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to demonstrate their expertise in renovation, general construction, construction management, and general contracting. With your 5+ years of experience, you will be instrumental in ensuring our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities:As a Project Engineer, your core responsibilities will include:1. Overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects from design to implementation.2. Coordinating and directing construction workers and subcontractors.3. Reviewing work progress on a daily basis and ensuring all safety regulations are met.4. Preparing internal and external reports pertaining to job status and progress.5. Analyzing, managing, and mitigating risks.6. Ensuring quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.7. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.8. Interpreting and explaining plans and contract terms to involved staff and contractors.9. Selecting tools, materials, and equipment, and tracking inventory.10. Negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.Qualifications:The ideal candidate for the Project Engineer position should have the following qualifications:1. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in the construction industry, specifically in renovation, general construction, construction management, and general contracting.2. Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field.3. In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.4. Excellent knowledge of construction details and building codes.5. Strong leadership and management skills.6. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.7. Proficiency in construction management software packages.8. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and drawings.9. Excellent problem-solving abilities.10.
