Die Setter/Press Operators-Contract Ithaca, NY (non-local candidates welcome) Estimated 2-3 months 2nd and 3rd Shift Non local candidates welcome, travel cost covered and daily per diem included TRIGO Global Quality Solutions is seeking to fill multiple 1099 Die Setter position in Ithaca, NY. What you'll do: Sets up and forging of dies, fixtures or assemblies in accordance with safety standards and company procedures. Troubleshoots equipment failures and problems with appropriate personnel. Will maintain accurate and complete production and quality records. Selects and sets speed and feed of machine according to type of operation and specified material and finish. Start the machine to obtain first run work piece and verifies dimensional tolerances. Follows written instructions to determine production requirements and part specifications as displayed on scheduling boards and work standard sheets. Manually loads parts or blanks into machine and place parts into inventory baskets. Load coils and feeds material into die where applicable. Set the PLC's (Pneumatic Logic Controllers) inside the presses. Minimum Requirement: Experience with SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Dies) or Quick Die Change experience Experience in manufacturing stamping environment Physically able to bend, squat, twist, climb, reach and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance Ability to be on feet for extended time per shift Ability to work in a high temperature environment Able to work in a fast-paced environment Must be dependable About TRIGO Global Quality Solutions Founded in 1997, TRIGO is a multinational company providing operational Quality Management solutions for the manufacturing sector, especially in the automotive and aerospace industries.
