Certification Details Certified Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Certificate via ASHA BLS certification is required Job Details A hospital in California is looking for an experienced Speech Therapist for a travel contract. The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active BLS and CA License. Job Requirements 2 full years of experience as a Speech Therapist Active BLS certification Active California state license Schedule Information Shifts vary depending on needs at the time; sometimes Wed-Sun or Thu-Mon Shifts are typically 8 hours with varying start times Unit Specific Information Unit: Speech # patients treated per day varies by assigned area Outpatient: up to 9 per day, Inpatient: up to 13 per day Coverage for areas assigned to and may float to other areas 1.5 days of orientation to job and unit, including Cerner training if needed Common diagnoses/patient types include stroke, TBI, neuro trauma, cognitive impairments, difficulties swallowing Additional Details Candidates with travel experience are preferred Trauma experience is preferred Candidates with inpatient clinical experience may be considered without the full year of experience
