Aureus Medical Group - Cardiopulmonary is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Indianapolis, Indiana.Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Estimated payment breakdown-$1525.00-$1597.00/wk*-$540.00-$612.00 in weekly taxable income-$15.00/hr-$17.00/hr*Estimate assumes an 12 hour shift. Hourly rate may change based on shift length.-$985.00 in non-taxable stipend*Actual amount subject to eligibility and seasonal/annual adjustmentsA Respiratory Therapist administers therapies to patients who have difficulty breathing due to hear or lung problems under the direction of a physician; and performs tests that aid in the diagnosis and evaluation of respiratory problems. Responsibilities include the operation of mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators, following specified parameters of treatment. Respiratory Therapists are capable of providing emergency care, including artificial respiration, external cardiac massage and assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation.Pulmonary function technologists are more focused on testing lung functions to find out if the patient has a condition or disorder and, if so, to identify the problem. This involves multiple types of tests including inhalation, spirometry tests, and flow volume loops to measure breathing and lung capacity.
