Certification Details Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS ARE THERE NURSE AIDS/PATIENT CARE TECHS ON THIS UNIT? RATIOS? DUTIES?: Yes, 1:12 RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: High flow Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: RNs must read and interpret Job Details A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for Night PCU RN's. 12 hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed. 2 years of unit experience Looking for someone who is flexible and willing to learn as well as take feedback along the way A nurse on this unit is successful if they are a team player, are flexible and adaptable, and have good communication skills Different cultural populations are served on this unit- primarily Hispanic and Somalian Job Requirements 2 years of unit experience BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required Schedule Information Shifts: 0630-1830, 1830-0630 Online scheduling through Smart Square Weekend Requirements: Every third Holiday Requirements: Rotating with perm staff Floating Requirements: Yes to MedSurg or to ICU to take PCU acuity patients RTO needed upfront (7 or fewer days per 13 week contract) Unit Specific Information Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults, Cardiac med/surg, dialysis, cancer diagnosis, vascular, sepsis, adult respiratory, stroke, post stent, post pacer placement, renal failure Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, insulin Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 1 week Scrub Color/Dress code: Navy Blue Additional Details WILL NOT APPROVE BLOCKED SCHEDULING OR SAME SCHEDULE/SHIFTS, MUST BE FLEXIBLE AND WILLING TO FLOAT AND WORK WHEN NEEDED Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
