Certification Details Candidates without BLS certification will not be considered for the role. NIH Stroke certification and ACLS are considered as advantageous. Job Details This position seeks a Travel RN specialized in Med Surg at the CJW Chippenham Hospital. The role is suited for a nurse who is upbeat, engaged, and compassionate. The Travel RNs, local CNAs, and sitters primarily recruited for this unit. Typical procedures performed on the unit(s) include those customary to a general medical surgical floor, and it is also a stroke and neuro designated unit. Job Requirements Must have BLS certification. NIH Stroke certification and ACLS are preferred but not mandatory. Schedule Information The Day Shift includes 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 3 techs, and 1 unit secretary if at max capacity. The Night Shift includes 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 1 tech, and 1 unit secretary if at max capacity. Patient Ratios roughly at 5:1. Unit Specific Information The unit information includes a maximum capacity of 43 patients with 34 beds. It features a team comprised of varying staff depending on the shift with a max capacity staff plan mentioned above. The unit is equipped with remote telemetry and utilizes the Meditech EMR system. Additional Details Scrub Color for the dress code is navy. The unit has received Multiple Daisy awards, is stroke certified, and has been 850+ days CAUTI free.
