Job Details Sovah Health - Martinsville is a full service, acute-care hospital with comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour emergency services, a home health & hospice agency, an advanced wound healing center, cardiac rehabilitation center, two cardiac catheterization labs, an outpatient surgery center, and medical & radiation oncology services. It is accredited by American College of Cardiology (ACC) Accreditation Services for Chest Pain Center and Heart Failure, by the American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer and is a member of the Duke Heart Network and Duke Telestroke Network. Job Requirements Registered Nurse from the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact State required. Graduate of a Program in Professional Nursing required. Can practice as a RN Applicant per the Virginia Department of Health guidelines. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including weekends and holidays to ensure continuity of care and appropriateness of nursing coverage to the patients on all units. Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required. Telemetry: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association required, or obtained within six (6) months of hire. Other - New Graduate RN ACLS required within one (1) year of hire. Unit Specific Information Number of Beds - 41. Type of staff: NA. Patient Ratios - 4:1. EMR - Meditech. Typical procedures performed on unit(s). Machines and/equipment used on the unit: Telemetry. Additional Details Unit consist of Telemetry and MedSurg patients. Combined unit. Dress Code: Scrub Color - Any color professional scrubs. Awards/Recognition: Daisy Award winners. Great Team with Great Teamwork. No specific color scrubs required.
