Certification Details Certification Requirements: Active VA/Compact License, BLS, ACLS Required to pass Basic Rhythm test Job Details Travel Med Surg position open 2 years experience in hospital setting required Must have active VA/Compact License at submission BLS required Job Requirements Must have BLS & ACLS Must pass our Basic Rhythm test Preferred: Experience on Medical Surgical and Excellent patient focus Schedule Information Day Shift - (1 charge, Unit Secretary, 7-8 RN, 2-3 PCT) Night Shift - (1 charge, Unit Secretary, 7-8 RN, 2 PCT) Unit Specific Information Unit Information: 6 Front Telemetry, Med Surg, Trauma Number of Beds: 33 Number of Staff: 55 Patient Ratios: 5 to 6:1 Type of equipment: EKG, Code cart, Welch Allyn vital machines, Vascular Doppler, wound vacs, Cultura Link interpreting services, Carescape monitors for rhythm monitoring at bedside when administering push meds such as metoprolol EMR: Meditech Typical procedures performed on unit(s): Small I & D's, Peritoneal Dialysis, Thoracentesis (not very often) Additional Details Best personality Fit: High energy, Positive attitude Dress Code: Scrub Color - navy, No cotton jackets, dress code enforced Awards/Recognition: Most improved HCHAPS, Many Daisy nominations Hospital of the future with centrak, 55" TVs with interactive white boards, Virtual sitter rooms, and currently being renovated to include low profile showers, and decorative tile Level I trauma Hospital
