Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Alma, Michigan.Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/02/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: TravelThe Registered Nurse provides direct care to patients using the nursing process. This includes ongoing assessment of the total patient. The RN provides interventions to treat the presenting symptoms and evaluates the effect of nursing interventions and patient's responses. The RN functions as a team leader/member and resource to others. The RN delegates, oversees and provides direction to support staff. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to establish goals and outcomes for each patient. The RN is responsible for meeting the needs of all types of patients.A day in the life as a--Registered Nurse (RN)- Medical/Surgical wtih MyMichigan Health:--(40%)* Regularly assesses patient's needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician authorized plan of care and accepted standards of evidence based nursing practice. --(30%)* Provides direct patient care including medication administration, treatments, education, call lights, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, and other duties as appropriate. --(20%)* Evaluates effectiveness of treatment plan and makes suggestions or participates in updating/revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current information to improve patient care. --(10%)* The RN is knowledgeable and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations and guidelines as well as hospital specific policies and procedures relating to care provided in the medical center.--Submission Requirements1+ Year of Med Surg Experience--- RequiredBLS (AHA) - Required--Profile Requirements:Work HistorySkills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty2 Supervisory Reference Forms, taken within the last two yearsCandidates' Permanent Address--(Facility will consider local candidates - 50 mile radius restriction, for 1 - 13week contract, they will have to go perm afterwards or will not renew)State License RequirementsMichiganAbout the FacilityMyMichigan Medical Center - Gratiot, a 97 licensed-bed hospital located in Alma, has been serving the health care needs of residents throughout Gratiot, Serving Gratiot, Isabella, Montcalm and other counties since 1955.Dress Code:--Navy Blue--EMR:--Epic**This client has a rebate of 2% of all billings related to this assignment; passthrough expenses are not subject to any rebates.
