Job Details The RN partners with our residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing direct and indirect care. 3 East is a 31-bed specialized unit, working with Alzheimer's/dementia residents, tailoring care to meet their needs. The Transitional Rehabilitation Unit occupies the second floor of d'Youville Pavilion, a 42-bed unit providing short-term nursing and rehab services. 3 West is a 42-bed long-term care unit, providing needed care in a home-like environment. Job Requirements Associates in Nursing required. Valid State of Maine or compact RN license required. 1-3 years previous RN experience preferred. Medical terminology knowledge preferred. Strong teamwork and communication skills required. Ability to work well within a team of other care providers. Flexibility to cover 24 hours/day, 7 days per week. Flexibility to float to other units as needed. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the above requirements. Schedule Information Flexibility required to cover 24 hours/day, 7 days per week. Flexibility to float to other units as needed. Unit Specific Information 3 East focuses on care for Alzheimer's/dementia residents. Transitional Rehabilitation Unit provides skilled nursing and rehab services for short-term recovery. 3 West offers long-term care in a home-like environment. Additional Details Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid. St. Mary's has the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract. Candidate must reside outside of a 50 mile radius.
