Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Lewiston, Maine. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/13/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years experience required NICU EXP PREFERRED (Level II NICU - Special Care Nursery) Traveler Experience: Unit does not accept first time travelers Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Does not accept candidates within 50 miles of facility Skills: Admit and care for labor patients, Must be able to care for mother baby couplets, Level 2 nursey experience required Certs: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: ACLS, JOB DETAILS: Target Ratios: Shift: Call Requirement: Yes, call required Float Requirement: No float Weekend Requirement: every third weekend/4 weekend shifts per contract PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience in labor and delivery and post partum care. The postpartum nurse must be able to manage a 3 couplet assignment for a total of 6 patients, attend a delivery as a baby nurse and provide resuscitation and stabilization to the infant after delivery if needed. The candidate must be able to triage 1-2 labor patients, assume labor patients with 1:1 acuity including labor patients with hypertension and insulin dependent diabetics. Labor and PP pts.
