Certification Details BLS ACLS ONS Chemo Cert Job Details Staffing ratios - goal is 1:4, but can be 1:5 No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Second week is 36hrs of on-unit orientation with a preceptor Oncology experience preferred but not required Floating to other Med/Surg and Oncology Units Job Requirements Oncology experience preferred but not required MS/Tele Telemetry Interpretation of dysrhythmias Telemetry -on the unit monitoring Use of Rapid Response Teams Feeding tube care and management IV therapy/Phlebotomy Blood Product Administration Central line blood draw Peripheral Line Care/Management PICC line management Starting IVs Schedule Information Weekends - variable based on unit needs Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule Unit Specific Information Special Procedures/Unit Details: Chemotherapy Blood transfusions IV Antibiotics Oncologic emergencies: tumor lysis syndrome, cytokine release syndrome Insulin drips Heparin drips Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls
