**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Endoscopy Surgery **Job Duration:** 13-week contract **Shift:** Days; 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 4x10 Hr **Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum three years of applicable experience **License:** State RN license in good standing **Certifications:** BLS (American Heart Association) **Must-Have:** - Writes, reads, comprehends, and speaks fluent English - Basic computer knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser - Multicultural sensitivity - Critical thinking skills using independent judgment **Job Description:** - Contribute professional nursing knowledge and skills in patient care and management with an interdisciplinary team. - Promote observation and physical assessment to address actual problems and outcomes. - Develop an individualized plan of care using a collaborative approach with patients, family, and health care team. - Implement appropriate interventions identified in the plan of care to achieve expected patient outcomes. - Systematically evaluate and document patients' progress towards expected outcomes/goals throughout the shift. - Modify the plan of care based on evaluations and evidence-based practices. - Complete required documentation, including patient charts and event reports. - Demonstrate professional accountability through resource-seeking and self-development. - Maintain and demonstrate technical knowledge of equipment and troubleshoot issues. - Acquire and maintain current knowledge and skills in evidence-based nursing practice. - Promote professional development for self and team members. - Share clinical knowledge through informal teaching and respond to the learning needs of others. - Demonstrate a practical problem-solving approach to patient moving and handling. - Possess knowledge and skills necessary for obtaining adequate lab specimens for testing. - Coordinate interdisciplinary care and utilize additional resources when necessary. - Analyze clinical situations and act to obtain resources or correct problems to meet or exceed expected outcomes or patient needs. - Prioritize work based on changes in patient condition and assignment. - Collaborate with the health care team from admission to discharge according to the plan of care. - Provide goal-focused shift reports and advocate with physicians on the patient's behalf. - Utilize communication and teamwork strategies to promote high team performance and achieve optimal patient outcomes. - Choose an appropriate communication style when interacting with others and give/receive constructive feedback. - Adhere to assigned weekly, weekend, and holiday call shifts in accordance with hospital protocols. - Assess and choose teaching strategies appropriate for the patient's/family's age-specific needs.For more details: https://jobs-search.org/architecture-construction_chicago-c429951/travel-nurse-rn-endoscopy-in-peoria-il-chicago_i2437562715
