Job Title: Registered Nurse Case Manager --- Day ShiftJob Description: Our client is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse Case Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in case management and acute inpatient care, with a deep understanding of illness characteristics and treatment expectations. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to efficiently utilize resources to promote quality, cost---effective outcomes. Responsibilities: --- Work a 40---hour week, with shifts from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm. Start times may vary. No major holidays required. --- Provide coverage every 6th weekend as needed. --- Assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate the options and services required to meet a patient's health needs. --- Manage the length of stay and promote efficient utilization of resources. --- Determine medical necessity and appropriateness of admission with InterQual screening and inpatient list from Medicare. Requirements: --- Minimum of 3 years of experience in case management, with a strong understanding of current MS patterns of practice. --- Knowledge of benefits, plan contracts, eligibility issues, and requirements. --- BSN certification is required. --- Preferred: 5+ years of experience with UM & CM, Epic. --- Preferred: CCM or related certification.
