A company is looking for a Trauma Surgery Coder for a remote position. Key Responsibilities Analyze medical records and accurately code diagnostic and procedural information Abstract clinical diagnoses and procedure codes into electronic medical records Ensure compliance with coding rules and regulations, providing quality assurance for medical records Required Qualifications, Training, and Education High school diploma/GED or equivalent specialized training in medical record keeping Active certification as a CPC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIA, or RHIT Three or more years of complex professional coding experience within specialty Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding principles as per AHIMA coding competencies Ability to work effectively in a remote setting with common office and coding software
