Training Administrator - FT (West Palm Beach)

SCOPE: Develop and present training programs for employees; coordinate with various departments to identify program needs, and conduct trainings within and outside the organization; and contribute to the mission of Goodwill by participating in a program to maximize the opportunities for persons with economic barriers to become more independent, within the limits of standard or accepted practice. REQUIRED FUNCTIONS: To schedule, coordinate and announce trainings for the purpose of keeping staff in compliance with required trainings throughout all geographical locations served by the agency. Conduct training courses onsite and at remote locations on company's applications and systems to include lectures, hands-on session and on-line learning. Report student attendance of training to Program Director of Evaluations, Quality Assurance and Training and Human Resources Department in accordance with company qualifications. Research and assist in writing technical and user manuals to support training, ensuring material addresses various levels of staff and participant knowledge base. Coordinate and determine specialization of courses, prerequisite skills and knowledge for trainees. Under general supervision, design and develop technical training programs and curriculum on various software systems for both onsite and on-line training. Update classroom training materials, including but not limited to handouts, lesson plans, overhead slide and practical exercises as required due to updated program features. Remain current and informed as well as main proficiency with applicable software products. Plan, coordinate, schedule and present a variety of training classes in a physical and virtual environment. For example, National Retail Federation (NRF) curriculum, ARISE, Crisis Prevention, and Money Matters. To obtain and maintain certification as a Red Cross Instructor, ARISE Master Trainer and Crisis Prevention Trainer. To set up the agency as a CEU provider, checking and submitting presenter credentials on a regular basis. To keep staff updated on upcoming trainings via the agency's shared Drive and to update training logs for each department. Provide additional department support as requested. OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Demonstrate by words and actions a commitment to the Goodwill mission to help people with disabilities and other barriers to become self-sufficient, working members of the community. Perform or assist with any duties or operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality qualifications. Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules, keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition. Participate in any variety of meetings and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, qualifications, and policies. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Bachelor's degree in Education or Technology or year for year equivalent work history At least 2 (2) years of applicable and/or training experience wanted Good working understanding of PC and MAC operating systems and software Red Cross Instructor certified preferred or become certified within 6 (6) months Crisis Intervention or become certified within 1 (1) year ARISE Train the Trainer certification or become certified within 6 (6) months Experience with Financial Literacy Train the Trainer; utilizing "Your Money, Your Goals" learning modules preferred Experience with utilizing "Brainshark" on-line training program a plus Experience with various on-line training registration platforms (i.e. Eventbrite) Expertise to learn and support new applications quickly Expertise to establish and maintain rapport with various levels of employees Excellent oral and writing skills Skilled at presenting in front of an audience Expertise to work on computer for extended periods Must have a valid Florida driver's license, reliable transportation and the expertise to be insured under the company's vehicle insurance policy. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: General office environment Frequent travel Expertise to lift and carry up to 10 pounds. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Computer and usual peripherals, microsoft word processing, spreadsheets and software programs, standard office equipment and safety equipment.Pay level: $16.83/hour
