A law firm in Chicago, IL is seeking a dedicated and skilled Trademark Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients to develop strategic approaches to managing, growing, and protecting their brands. This role involves ensuring successful brand management and global enforcement programs are in place before marks are launched. The candidate must demonstrate strong academic credentials, superb judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding client services.Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic approaches to manage, grow, and protect clients' brands. Ensure successful brand management and global enforcement programs are in place before marks are launched. Conduct trademark clearance searches and analyze search results. Prepare and prosecute trademark applications in the United States and abroad. Advise clients on trademark strategy, including brand and portfolio management. Handle trademark enforcement matters, including oppositions, cancellations, and litigation support. Counsel clients on various trademark issues, including licensing and transactional matters. Maintain and manage clients' trademark portfolios. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.Requirements: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to practice law in the state of Illinois. Approximately 2-4 years of trademark experience, including clearance, prosecution, enforcement, brand and portfolio management, and counseling regarding trademark strategy in the United States and abroad. Strong academic credentials. Superb judgment and communication skills. Commitment to providing excellent client services. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Education & Certifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.Skills: Excellent analytical and research skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Exceptional judgment and problem-solving abilities. Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in managing and prioritizing multiple client matters and deadlines.
