JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for the management of all Men's categories including defining business strategy, leading the buying process, allocation and distribution to the Americas boutiques, in accordance with company strategic business plans. Tasks and Responsibilities: Communicate and partner with Retail teams on client needs Collaborate with key partners (Store, Visual Merchandising, Brand Image, Supply Chain, E-Commerce) to achieve sales plans and meet KPI's Possess a strong understanding of market dynamics and needs through store visits, competitor analysis, and constant connectivity to relevant brand adjacencies Actively communicate with the central merchandising team to drive seasonal product initiatives and provide feedback to outline needs of the market Define store assortment by product category and work to balance these inventories in season on a monthly basis Place seasonal market orders four times annually and reorders as needed Define and implement 360 action plans across functions to ensure business targets are achieved Head weekly, monthly, seasonal sales analysis to recommend and implement tactical actions to deliver the plans Analyze weekly sales reports to identify opportunities and present action plans, ensuring planned sales and stretch targets are met Monitor sell-thru by door and consolidate product to maximize sell through Prepare markdowns (propose selection, negotiate w/HQ) Provide end of season (EOS) product analysis and final sales report Participate in open-to-buy (OTB) discussions and meetings Provide regular guidance on sales forecast on a monthly basis, as part of a Monthly Forecast Review Responsible for replenishment strategy and ensuring appropriate stock levels to drive sales and sell-thru Responsible for the ongoing professional development of team (including assistant buyer) Provides store training on seasonal merchandise Skills and Competencies: Excellent organizational skills Strong understanding of merchandising financials, retail math and the ability to manage profitability Strong managerial skills and ability to develop teams Ability to analyze business trends and react quickly and strategically Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to build relationships with corporate and retail teams Ability to remain flexible and adjust priorities to handle time wisely in a fast-paced environment Requirements: At least 8 years of luxury Men's Buying experience, with emphasis on MRTW Strong understanding of Men's fashion industry (i.e. competition landscape and trends) Strong management and leadership skills Advanced Excel skills Expertise in other Microsoft Office programs, especially PowerPoint Ability to travel frequently (including international) Tailored Clothing experience a plus The hiring range for this position ranges from $140,000-$160,000.
