Lyngblomsten is looking to fill a brand new role, The Gathering Program Facilitator. This passionate, self-motivated individual will be responsible for leading Lyngblomsten Community Services dementia group respite program, The Gathering. This is a full-time, 32 hour per week position with workdays consisting of Monday-Thursday, that floats between two campuses. The facilitator will create a supportive and engaging environment for individuals living with dementia, providing meaningful activities and respite for their caregivers. Reports to: Respite Coordinator Qualifications: · Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Social Work, Music Therapy, Gerontology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or related field· Preferred experience: 5 years of leading activities with individuals living with dementia· Preferred experience: 3 years of volunteer supervision· Team player with strong problem solving and assessment skills (physical, mental, social)· Demonstrates leadership and administrative abilities, with good planning and organizational skills.· Proficient with Microsoft Office· Must have a valid Drivers License Key Responsibilities: 1. Facilitate The Gathering group respite program by leading engaging activities such as arts/crafts, active games, music, brain games, exercise, and table games.2. Assist in supervising The Gathering volunteers3.
