Job Title: Test Tank OperatorReports To: Area ManagerFLSA Status: Non-ExemptDivision: York AmericasLocation: East York PlantBASIC FUNCTIONInspects all manufactured parts, including pressure testing of the finished product. Identifies and repairs all deviations, i.e. leaks, defects, aesthetics, etc. Compiles product test result data, labels, and stages product for multiple internal customers, EYK Assembly and Crating. Maintains flow of Brazing Division by gauging the volume of assembled products and assisting processes to generate flow level.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED- Wears all Personal Protective Equipment.- Completed all Safety Department documents- Completes all 5S and Brazing Torch Inspection Worksheets daily- Completed the JCI-EYK Brazer Training Program- Certified in both Line and Header Brazing Processes by Quality Assurance- Knowledge of Coil Cell East York Work Instructions- Knowledge of Testing Process- Familiar with Testing equipment (Test Cap, assembly and preventive maintenance, psi regulator gauges, torch assembly)- Identify and locate source of air molecules exuding from product, minute as 1/32” in diameter in emulsified oil-water mixture- Braze across various base metal including copper, brass, steel and alloy.- Knowledge of PAADATA program- Familiar with Microsoft Access basics and PC function- Identify repetitive deviations and report to Area Leader and Manager- Ability to assess needs based on production schedule and deadlines- Knowledge of Coil Cell Assembly manual, product specifications and dimensions- Ability to interpret Blueprints, Engineered Drawings- Familiar with all 14 Brazing Division Processes- Complete Pendant Controlled Crane Operator training course- Responsible for reporting work related injuries and near misses to supervision.- Responsible for wearing all required PPE and following applicable safety/environmental rules.- Responsible for correcting or reporting unsafe conditions observed within the plant.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or General Equivalent Diploma required; brazing and manufacturing preferred; ability to attain Brazing Certifications within one monthLANGUAGE ABILITYAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos (i.e. safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, shop-floor paperwork, and procedure manuals).MATH ABILITYAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.COMPUTER SKILLSNo computer skills required.CERTIFICATES & LICENSESBrazing certification required.
