Territory Sales Manager

Description:

Responsible for the achievement of the annual sales plan. Familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices and procedures as they relate to the sales of hand-held power tools from distribution to end-users. Relies on extensive sales experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks as requested by the Power Tools Management Team. The ideal candidate will reside in the Kenosha, Milwaukee or Minneapolis areas. KEY TASKS * Responsible for achievement of annual sales plan for the territory. * Responsible for maximizing sales through established terms and conditions. * Primary focus of strategy is to drive up market share in core competent markets while identifying tangent market opportunities, working closely with marketing and engineering departments to align current and new products to such opportunities. * Accountable to National Sales Manager for all aspects of sales through distribution, end users and national accounts. * Manage and direct activities and efforts of assigned Distributors. * Recruit, select and evaluate new Distributors as necessary. * Provide marketing input to engineering, marketing departments regarding trends, changes and competition, along with constructive suggestions pertaining to the marketplace. * Analyze, assist and advise in selection of new accounts. * Analyze data, compile reports and presentations as needed. REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor in Business or Marketing preferred, but not mandatory. * Strong organizational skills required. * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with individuals at all organizational levels. * Minimum 5 years experience in sales preferably in the Industrial Power Tools industry. * Background in sales and marketing planning preferred. * Significant travel required.
