Description:
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : High School Diploma or GED Certificate. Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Electronic, Computer Engineering or a Related Field. 2 - 3 years experience in troubleshooting computer equipment, software installation/maintenance. Knowledge of Internet security, computer systems and LAN/WAN networks. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Project software. Valid Driver's License (subject to motor vehicle record review). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES: Identify and troubleshoot problems on various desktop/laptop computers. Provide technical support for computer hardware and/or software. If necessary, schedule site visits based on priority and end-user requirements. Coordinates equipment repairs using means necessary, including contacting and consulting outside companies, minimizing downtime and cost. Maintains trouble tickets, installation, preventive maintenance, repairs, replacement and retirement of all computer and communication equipment. Resolve network connectivity issues. Ability to fix network issues by running tests, configuring peripheral devices and analyzing LAN/WAN. Analyzes request for upgrades of computer equipment, determines specifications, researches all available technologies and performs installation of upgrades. Schedules and performs routine preventive maintenance on desktop/laptop equipment, printers and computer peripheral equipment. Assists in development of standards for desktop computers, printers and communications equipment and provides recommendations through research and emerging technologies on such equipment. Installs all new desktop equipment, hardware and software, by developing installation, replacement and transfer schedules; performs task documentation. Must have advanced problem-solving skills and excellent written / verbal communication skills. Must have strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure, exercise sound judgment in area of responsibility, strong communication skills, positive attitude, and a self-starter.
