Job Description Title: Technician II (Weekend Shift) Reports To: Shift Advisor Schedule: Weekend Shift/ Fri, Sat & Sun, 5AM - 5:30PM (12hrs, 3days) Summary: This Technician Associate has experience with diverse manufacturing machines or process operations and technical skills that are moderately complex. Have limited troubleshooting ability for various manufacturing machines along with good technical skills. They will have a complete understanding of the safety requirements for finishing equipment and processes within a Value Stream. They will have a complete understanding of hand assembly and packaging operations and be able to lead and instruct others, including contract labor. This Technician position is expected to have full knowledge of product quality, processes and procedures. Associate must be able to meet production schedules and strive to achieve cost estimates. Responsibilities/Duties include but are not limited to: Basic troubleshooting of products and various machines based on established job rates. Communicate rate deficiencies to management and engineering per work instructions. Perform quality inspections per Quality Department procedures and able to work with Engineering on work instructions changes. Responsible for accurate documentation of inspection, equipment maintenance and work instruction changes. Positively contribute to company's safety, quality and production goals. Responsible for reporting to Management any unsafe working conditions. Responsible for accurate entries in the computer time clock system. Have satisfactory assembly, packaging and print reading skills. Accountabilities: Contributes to attaining team goals for safety. Accountable for meeting quarterly attendance goals. Accountable for on-time delivery to promise date. Achieve product and service quality team goal. Accountable for accurate documentation audits with no findings. Accountable to achieve goal for profit contribution dollars Accountable for quarterly implementing improvements to current and new production runs with supporting documentation Accountable for completing personal learning and development goals Training/Education/Experience High School education or equivalent. 3-7 years manufacturing experience required; medical manufacturing experience a plus. Able to interpret and understand print drawings. Basic understanding of lean manufacturing concepts a plus. Proficient PC skills, Microsoft Can operate various machine experience with set-up, operation and troubleshooting. Competencies/Talents/Personal Attributes: Good communication skills, written and verbal. Positive attitude and a team player. Good troubleshooting skills. Can speak, understand and write English.
