We are looking to hire a Head Start Teacher Floater to join or team and support a dynamic learning environment in our Gloucester location.The Teacher Floater in our Head Start program is assigned to assist a classroom in administering a safe and developmentally appropriate curriculum. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of child development and a background in early childhood education as well as experience working with young children. We value collaboration and appreciate open dialogue in all our programs and at all of our sites. Our core values are- respect, trust, collaboration, and opportunity . $19.50-$24.40 per hour to start depending on Education, Credentials and Experience. 52 weeks per year 37.5 hours per week in our Gloucester location WHAT WILL YOU DO AS A TEACHER FLOATER IN HEAD START? Assist with the activities of the children in the classroom and on the playgroundAssist with the implementation of the curriculum and school readiness goalsProvide appropriate supervision of children to ensure a safe and clean environmentParticipate in training opportunities and attend required meetingsRespect co-workers and families and maintain confidentialityBend and lift to assist children and perform duties WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE A FLOATER? CDA Credential or EEC Preschool Teacher certification preferredMinimum of 9 months experience working with children 2.9-5 years oldMust be 18 years old or older High School Diploma or equivalentMust be able to meet the physical requirements of the roleMust comply with all state and federal vaccine mandatesMust complete and satisfy background check protocols WHAT DO WE OFFER?
