Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital - Bradford TCURegistered Nurse Part-Time, 32 hours/week - 11pm-7am Base Pay : $40.00- $48.00Differentials: $6 for weekday; $8 for weekend Essential Functions: Supervises and evaluates all direct resident care and initiates corrective action as necessary Provides clinical supervision of nursing assistants and Licensed Practical Nurse providing direct resident care Prepares nursing assistants' assignments and explains all pertinent resident care Supervises response to resident' calls for assistance and responds to call lights as necessary Insures that all physician renewal orders and documentation is timely and appropriate Obtains report from nurse he/she is relieving and records sufficient information to implement appropriate follow up action as necessary Conducts resident rounds, reporting problems to nursing supervisor and initiating corrective action Identified resident problems and emergency situations, and initiates immediate "life saving" measures within the scope of nursing practice and in accordance with advance directives Administers and documents medications, enteral nutrition, and treatments per the physician's order and accurately records all care provided and observations daily Renders immediate assistance to any resident in need Provides intravenous therapy according to facility policy and procedures Prerequesites: Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing Current license in Massachusetts as RN Knowledge of geriatric nursing requires Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support in accordance with American Heart Association or America Red Cross standards required Knowledge of growth and development across the life span Powered by JazzHR
