Description:
PURPOSE: To refurbish grease tanks by cleaning, painting and repairing them for re-distribution to customer locations. 1st shift 6:30am-3:00pm AND 2nd shift 3:00pm-11:00pm ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Use cleaning equipment and chemicals to prepare tanks for refurbishing. Perform repairs to grease tank s and lids to make them road ready for raw material customers. Maintain clean and organized work area. Report any issues to the General Manager about repair problems with the tanks for possible changes to make them safer. Expected to perform other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 2 years shop experience. Knowledge of metal fabrication, cutting, and welding. Able to work unsupervised to complete tank repairs in a safe and efficient manner. Must be able to read and write to understand safety training and maintain work records. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Stooping, bending, and squatting . Climb ladders and work at heights up to 1 0 feet using all proper PPE . Lift weight up to 50 pounds . Able to operate a tow motor to move grease tanks around as necessary. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Able to work inside or outside to refurbish grease tanks. May be exposed to inclement weather Must be willing to work all shifts including over-time and weekends as needed.
