Job Title : Surgical Technologist Location : Brattleboro, VT Shift Type : 8-hour or 10-hour shifts (Full-time) On Call Requirements : Yes Salary : $29/hour (dependent on experienceplease submit candidates with reasonable salary expectations) Job Summary :Surgical Technologists play a vital role as part of the surgical care team, working under the supervision of a surgeon to ensure safe and effective surgeries. They are responsible for maintaining the operating room environment, ensuring equipment functions correctly, and conducting procedures in a sterile and aseptic manner. Surgical technologists assist in a variety of surgeries and are crucial in ensuring patient safety throughout invasive surgical procedures. Current service lines include: Orthopedics (active Total Joint Program) Endoscopy General Surgery Ob-Gyn Ophthalmology (Cataracts) Urology Podiatry Key Responsibilities : Assist surgeons during invasive procedures by providing tools and maintaining sterile environments Ensure operating room safety and equipment functionality Apply sterile and aseptic techniques to safeguard patient health Collaborate with the surgical team to deliver optimal patient outcomes Manage surgical instruments and tools, ensuring they are sterile and ready for use Monitor and maintain sterile fields during surgeries Work across various service lines, including orthopedics, general surgery, and more Qualifications : High school graduate or equivalent Required Completion of a surgical technology course, certificate program, or comparable experience Required 1-2 years of recent OR scrub experience Required Certification from the Association of Surgical Technologists Preferred (must obtain within 18 months of hire) CPR Certification Required At least 2 recent supervisory references Required Emphasis on orthopedic experience is highly preferred Additional Information : Candidates must disclose any previous termination history during the submission process.
